Essential Duties & Responsibilities of a Certified Technician at Hamilton Volkswagen
- Receive repair orders from the dispatcher, take to stall area, and perform work as described on the repair order following Hamilton Volkswagen standards
- Diagnose & repair vehicular malfunctions as authorized
- Work with our parts department to obtain necessary replacement parts
- Tag, save, & return parts if service is under warranty or if requested by the customer
- Document all work performed
- Road test vehicles to ensure service has adequately addressed customer needs
- Quality check work performed
- Notify a service advisor immediately if requested service is not needed, if additional repairs are needed, or if the service cannot be completed within the allotted schedule
- Attend Volkswagen Group of America (VWoA) training courses
- Stay informed of factory technical bulletins
- Keep customers’ vehicles clean
- Follow all Hamilton Volkswagen safety & housekeeping procedures/policies
- Understand and abide by federal, state, and local regulations governing service repair
